- Karin Lind’s paintings open up worlds through a visual language that follows in the footsteps of Symbolism. Islands of Power, Landscapes of Time Karin Lind’s paintings open up worlds through a visual language that follows in the footsteps of Symbolism. Here, the delicate and dreamlike encounter the mysterious, the things that seem to exist just beyond the visible. At the same time, she introduces surrealist nuances—a darker and at times grotesque register in which landscapes, figures, encounters, and abysses are distorted and given new, uncertain meanings. Her images move between the recognizable and the unfamiliar, between concrete reality and the idea of what a reality might be.

- Astrid Kajsa Nylander (b. 1989) in Gothenburg lives and works in Stockholm and Gotland, Sweden. Nylander graduated with an MFA from Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg in 2018. Working across performance and installation, her practice explores painting in an expanded field. In compositions of everyday objects such as windows, buttons, and instruments, a personal microcosm is reflected in a global macrocosm, where objects’ different states mesh with the process of painting. In her ongoing series minijobs Nylander connects the textile qualities of the canvas with technologies such as sewing and weaving. The button is the starting point, ordinary and functional, yet a technical miracle that attaches one part to another, holding them together. Her methods reference Op Art painting’s questioning of perspective, which aimed to transcend 'good taste' in favor of accessibility through playful colors and strong contrasts that communicate directly with the viewer through processes in the eye that we are normally unaware of. Recent exhibitions include OTP Copenhagen and Ekerö Kulturhus (2025), NSFW/Svivlova (2022), Belenius (2022), and Page NYC (2020). In 2019, Nylander received the Stiftung Sparkasse Siegen Prize for Junge Kunst, followed by a solo presentation at Kunstverein Siegen. In 2023, Nylander curated and exhibited a group exhibition draw a door in the wall and slip through it at Belenius, alongside friends and former classmates Frieda Toranzo Jaeger, Beatrice Marchi, and Tanja Nis-Hansen. Nylander is currently working on the performance project What's a Mob to a King? (Plot-Twist Redemption) with Berlin-based artist Liina Magnea. The project premiered at Sophiensaele in Berlin. Nylander is represented in the collections of Moderna Museet, Mannheimer Swartling, Stockholm Konst, Ersta Diakoni, Region Västra Götaland, Region Sörmland, Region Skåne, Jönköpings kommun and Örebro kommun, among other municipal and private collections.

- An art project on the roof of Lingotto Shirin Aliabadi, Allora&Calzadilla, Thomas Bayrle, Rong Bao, Nina Beier, Julius Von Bismarck, Monica Bonvicini, VALIE EXPORT, Sylvie Fleury, Francesco Gennari, Liam Gillick, Marco Giordano, Nan Goldin, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Shilpa Gupta, Alicja Kwade, Louise Lawler, Mark Leckey, Chalisée Naamani, Silvia Rosi, Finnegan Shannon, Cally Spooner, SUPERFLEX, Rirkrit Tiravanija. The track historically used by the FIAT factory for testing cars on the roof of the Lingotto, now enhanced by a hanging garden, has become a spectacular panoramic walk through art. The works on Pista 500 are created by international artists and include sculptures, light and sound works, and expanded cinema projects. The interventions engage with the architecture and industrial past of Lingotto, the urban context, and the surrounding landscape, transforming Pista 500 from a closed circuit to an open road, from a production site to a collective space for new stories and visions. Rong Bao explores the relationship between attraction and estrangement through sculptures and installations that combine post-human imagery with a pop aesthetic. For Pista 500, the artist presents Carnivorous Bloom, an interactive sculpture animated by constantly shifting inflatable petals, vibrating and oscillating like a pulsating organism. The installation takes the form of a carnivorous plant, its bright pink hues amplifying its seductive nature, evoking mutant plant forms and alien creatures. A living cell with an undefined identity, its hypnotic breathing invites the public to relax and be transported by its vibrations in an enveloping physical and sensorial experience. With subtle irony, Carnivorous Bloom enters the dialogue between industrial architecture and the natural dimension of the suspended garden on the roof of the Lingotto. The installation appears as a fluid entity, halfway between creature and machine, between reality and science fiction. Bao challenges us to question the very meaning of interacting with the work, and how this experience can subvert our expectations. The artist’s work is based on interaction with the public, inviting them to engage with ambiguous forms and translucent materials, evoking a world simultaneously artificial and organic. Playing with the perception of the body and space, Bao creates works that oscillate between the fascinating and the uncanny. Her installations transform into immersive environments that disorient while simultaneously allowing new possibilities for interpreting matter and identity to emerge.
