Expositions d'art moderne et contemporain à Amsterdam

Met de kunsttentoonstelling Reply:Forward: A reply to the present, a forward to us all (voorheen No Time To Despair) proberen drie jonge co-curatoren Caithlin Courtney Chong, Thierno Deme en Mees Elias van Zanten, zaadjes te planten voor een hoopvolle toekomst. Ze willen het publiek laten rouwen om het verleden, inspireren tot het doen van aanpassingen in het heden of het zich inbeelden van vernieuwende toekomstscenario’s.

Tentoonstelling met hedendaagse en oude kunst, geïnspireerd op het werk van Carl Jung

Tijdens het Amsterdam 750-jubileumjaar bundelen het Rijksmuseum en het Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam hun krachten voor de toptentoonstelling: Artus Quellinus - Beeldhouwer van Amsterdam. De van oorsprong Vlaamse Artus Quellinus geldt als de belangrijkste barokke beeldhouwer van Amsterdam en ver daarbuiten. Voor de allereerste overzichtstentoonstelling van Quellinus worden meer dan 100 topstukken uit binnen- en buitenland samengebracht, in zijn grootste meesterwerk: het Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam.

Indifferent West is a new solo exhibition and forthcoming book launch by Artist-Photographer Daniel Mirer on September 27, 2025. Offering a powerful reflection on today's pressing socio-political issues; Mirer’s visually arresting photographic work is a critical exploration of American history, identity, and environmental crisis through the mythic American West. Indifferent West is a salient visual investigation into the mythology, commercialisation and environmental disruption of the Western landscape. The exhibition features a selection of Mirer’s meticulously composed, vivid photographs spanning over 30 years, capturing the strange beauty and haunting irony of a landscape defined more by fantasy than fact. Mirer's forthcoming book of the same title, showcasing 108 photographs, launches in conjunction with the show at Elliott Gallery.

Matthew Murray's Stripper & Saddleworth exhibition blends portrait work and landscape photography, capturing the vulnerability in both scenes. The Saddleworth series responds to the vastness and texture of the landscape, paying homage to the light found in Dutch Seventeenth Century landscape painting.

Throughout the summer, the gallery presents 'A Brighter Side of Things' a colourful and eclectic group exhibition featuring new and recent works by artists of the gallery among which Helen Beard, Daniel Firman, Michael Craig-Martin, Miles Aldridge, Gavin Turk, Harland Miller, and introducing new work of Enoc Perez. The show also includes beautiful secondary market pieces by Jonathan Lasker, France-Lise McGurn, Allen Jones and others.
